European Handicap:
The European spread bet offers three options: Team 1 winner, Draw, and Team 2 winner. The values for this type of spread bet are limited to integers such as +/- 1.00, +/- 2.00, +/- 3.00, and so on. To illustrate how it works, let's use Team 1 and Team 2 as examples.
If a team starts with a spread of -2 (equivalent to a starting score of 0:2), it must prevail with a difference of at least 3 goals to win the bet. If the team wins with a score of 2:0, the bet will be considered a "Draw." In the case of a 1:0 victory, the bet labeled "Winning Team 2" will be deemed a draw.
Popular Types of European Spread Bets:
- Spread -3 1: Team 1 must win by at least 4 goals
- Spread -3 X: Team 1 must win by exactly 3 goals
- Spread +3 2: Team 2 must not lose by more than 2 goals
- Spread -2 1: Team 1 must win by at least 3 goals
- Spread -2 X: Team 1 must win by exactly 2 goals
- Spread +2 2: Team 2 must not lose by more than 1 goal
- Spread -1 1: Team 1 must win by at least 2 goals
