Overview
IDnow verification is a fully digital identity verification method that requires you to scan your ID document and complete a short liveness check (face verification).
The process typically takes around 3 minutes.
This service is provided by IDnow.
To start the verification, go to Profile → Verification process in your Betano account and select the IDnow option.
What you need before starting
Please ensure you have:
- A valid identification document:
- National ID card (front and back), or
- Passport, or
- German residence permit
- A smartphone or computer with a webcam
- Good lighting conditions
- Stable internet connection
- Your Ident ID (provided before redirection)
Important document requirements
To avoid issues during verification:
- The document must be valid and not expired
- All corners must be clearly visible
- The document must be undamaged
- No glare, reflections, or blur on the document
How to verify your account via IDnow
- Log in to your Betano account
- Go to Account → Profile → Verification Process
- Select IDnow as your verification method
- Enter your Ident ID (if requested)
- Start the IDnow verification session
- Scan your ID document as instructed
- Complete the liveness check (face verification)
- Follow all on-screen instructions until completion
- Wait for confirmation that your verification has been successfully completed
What happens next?
- Once verified, your Betano account becomes fully active
- No further KYC steps are required unless requested due to regulatory requirements
